Shop With Scrip Fundraiser

A comprehensive guide on how to use the Scrip program to support Camp Mardela.


Support Camp Mardela by shopping at your favorite stores! You don't have to buy anything extra, just purchase gift cards to store you frequently shop at and Camp Mardela will earn a percentage with each purchase!


Contact the camp office for the enrollment code!


App Purchases - Existing Account


Once you download the "RaiseRight" app, sign into your account. It will ask you to verify your account with your phone number on your account. You CANNOT manage non-profits from the app. If you would like to add Camp Mardela, Inc. as the non-profit you are supporting, you will have to add it through the website with the instructions below under "Website Purchases"


Website Purchases - Existing Account


If you already have a Scrip account, go to the top of the page and click on "Account Settings" in the drop down that appears under your name. In account settings, click the option on the left menu titled "Manage Non-Profits" and click the option in the main screen titled "Join Another Non-Profit". A box will appear to enter an enrollment. Contact the camp office for the enrollment code.

If you've never used Scrip before, below are some helpful steps on how to use the program:


App Purchases - New Account

Setting up your account

  1. Download the "RaiseRight" app from the app store available on your device

  2. Once the app is downloaded, open the app

  3. The first screen will ask you to "Sign in", "Join a Program" or "How it Works >". Select the second option titled "Join a Program"

  4. The next screen titled "Welcome to RaiseRight" will have a box asking for an enrollment code. Contact the camp office for the enrollment code. Once entered, click the button titled "Get Started"

  5. On the next screen titled "Let's create your account", enter your first name and last name in the boxes below. You do NOT need to enter information under "Who are you fundraising for?". Once complete, click "Next"

  6. On the screen titled "Please create your sign in information", enter your email address and your desired password. Once you set your password, click "Next"

  7. On the screen titled "Help us keep your account secure" select your security questions and enter the answers. Once complete, click "Next

  8. On the screen titled "Please provide a phone number for 2-step verification", enter your cell number to verify your account with a security code. Once complete, click "Send Code"

  9. When you receive the text, enter the code on the next screen titled "Please enter the verification code that was sent to (***)***-????. If you did not receive a code, you can click the blue link below titled "Go Back" to send again. Once complete, click "Finish"

  10. Once you are logged in, you can shop for your desired gift cards! You can search using the search bar at the top of the page, or search by category by clicking on the second tab below titled "Categories"

  11. Follow the steps below in the heading titled "Shopping for Gift Cards" for more information on how to place gift card orders.

Website Purchases - New Account

Setting up your account

  1. Visit the website www.shopwithscrip.com.

  2. On the homepage, select the option "Join a Program" . This will take you to a screen where you must enter an enrollment code. Contact the camp office for the enrollment code Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

  3. This will take you to a screen titled "Register". Enter your information in the boxes on the screen as requested to create your account. (You do not need "Student Name" or "Classroom/Group")

  4. Once you have filled out all of the information, hit "Register" at the bottom of the screen.

  5. A pop-up screen will appear titled "Updated Terms of Use, Privacy Policy & Return Policy". Click "I Accept" at the bottom of the box.

  6. The next screen is titled "Set Up Two-Step Authentication" . Enter your phone number and name of your phone to authenticate your account. Hit "Send Code" when information is entered

  7. Check your phone for the verification code and enter it on the next screen titled "Enter Your Verification Code". Once code is entered, hit "Submit"

  8. A pop-up screen will appear asking to link your bank account. You can click "Link Bank Account" if that is how you would like to pay. If you would prefer to pay with credit card of check, click the "x" in the top right corner of the pop-up box.

  9. On the next page titled "Add a Bank Account for Online Payments", bypass this page if you want to pay with credit card or check and click "Shop" .

Shopping for Gift Cards

  1. On the page titled "Shop", a box will pop-up asking if you would like to take a tour. You can take the tour of click the "x" in the top right hand corner of the box.

  2. Using the search bar, type in the gift card you wish to purchase (i.e. Walmart, Boscovs, Taco Bell, etc.). Click the card that pops up below the search bar. You can also search alphabetically with the menu items at the top of the page by clicking on a letter. Click on your desired gift card once it is found

  3. Most cards have 3 options to purchase: Gift Cards, eGift Cards, Reloads. (See headings below for instructions for putting each choice in the cart)

  4. Once you have finished putting your desired gift cards in the cart, go to the tip right corner of the page and click on the word "Cart". There should be a number in a circle next to it with the amount of items you put in the cart.

  5. At the top of the page in the box titled "Organization", make sure "Camp Mardela, Inc." is in the box. If not, select it from the drop down menu.

  6. Below in the chart, ensure you have put the desired cards and amounts in the cart that you would like to purchase. In the far right column titled "$ Amount", the bottom number indicated the amount you will pay for the gift cards. The column next to it titled "$ Rebate" shows how much of your purchase will be given back to Camp Mardela.

  7. In the next block down titled "Select Your Payment Type, click the bubble choice of your preferred payment method. There are 3 options: Credit Card, Bank Account, and Check.

  8. If you choose "Credit Card", enter your card information as prompted. At the bottom of the prompts, you can choose to save your credit card information for future purchases.

  9. In order to choose "Bank Account" you must set up your bank information in your profile prior to checking out.

  10. If you choose "Check", below you will be instructed to give a check with the card payments to the coordinator. Camp Mardela's Scrip coordinator is Jennifer Summy. You can mail your check to P.O. Box 460, Denton, MD 21629 to pay for your cards. Your cards will not be released until payment is received.

  11. Once you have selected your payment method, go down to the box titled "Order Summary" and click the blue button titled "Submit Order".

  12. Once your order is submitted, the coordinator will receive a notification of your purchase. When payment is received, regardless of payment type, cards will be released.

  13. Physical gift cards will be mailed to 301 Deep Shore Road, Denton, MD 21629. Arrange a time to pick them up from the camp office, or ask the coordinator to mail cards directly to you. Please provide you address to the coordinator at campmardela@gmail.com or call 410-479-2861. You will be asked to pay the additional postage for mailing the cards directly.

  14. eGift Cards will be emailed directly to you once payment is received. You can print the card or save to your phone to use in the store.

Physical Gift Card Purchases

  1. Once you have selected your desired gift card, select the tab titled "Gift Card"

  2. In the drop down menu titled "Denomination", select the denomination of gift card you desire. Most denominations range from $5 to $100/card.

  3. In the next box titled "Quantity", type in how many of the given denomination you would like (Example: If you want $150 worth of Walmart gift cards and you want $25 on each card, type "6" into the quantity box)

  4. In the next box titled "Rebate" this shows the fixed percentage that Camp Mardela will get back for your purchase. Most cards offer 3%-18% rebates.

  5. Once you've entered your information in the first 2 boxes, click the blue button on the right titled "Add To Cart"

eGift Card Purchases

  1. Once you have selected your desired gift card, select the tab titled "eGift Cards"

  2. The first item "Denomination" will be a fixed dollar amount

  3. In the next box titled "Dollar Amount" enter the total dollar amount of the gift card you would like

  4. The next box titled "Rebate %" will be fixed.

  5. Once you have entered this information, click the blue button on the right titled "Add to Cart"

Gift Card Reloads

  1. Once you have selected your desired gift card, select the tab titled "Reload"

  2. The top 3 boxes titled "Denomination", "Dollar Amount", and "Rebate %" will be fixed. You must register a card to reload first

  3. Skip the next box down titled "Select You Registered Card"

  4. In the next box titled "Card No.", enter the gift card number on the back of the card you would like to reload

  5. In the next box titled "Card Name", enter a personal title of the card being loaded for your reference.

  6. In the box titled "Card Pin", enter the security code on the back of the card (not all gift cards have this feature, so only enter if applicable. If not, leave blank)

  7. Once the information is entered, click the blue button in the right near the top of the screen titled "Register Card"
