Krabill Hall is Camp Mardela’s dining and kitchen facility.
The large open hall has plenty of room, tables, and chairs to serve a group of 100 to 150
The hall is not winterized, so best use of the building generally occurs between April and October, weather permitting. There is a large fireplace, which can be used to take the chill off on a spring or fall evening. However, because of the hall’s large size and high ceiling, the fireplace is not sufficient to heat the room on a really cold day. Krabill Hall is also frequently used as a meeting area for large groups. Sufficient chairs are provided to set up a worship service or other program for well over 100 people.
A TV/VCR, easel, overhead projector, and electric piano can also be brought to the hall to further expand possibilities for use. Adjoining the main hall is a fully equipped commercial kitchen, which can be rented to prepare meals for your retreat, reunion, or other event. Stainless steel counters and center island provide ample space for food prep, while the 60″ Vulcan range provides 6 gas burners, a 24″ griddle, and two large ovens.
Reach-in and walk-in refrigerators and freezers allow plenty of room for food storage, and our 100 lb capacity ice machine provides plenty of ice to meet your needs. Basic cooking and serving dishes and utensils are provided, as are place settings for 100+. Groups are responsible for providing their own food and paper products. A large serving window connects the kitchen to the dining hall, and a separate window connects the dining room to the dish room, which makes setting up and clearing off quick and easy.
