Mini Camp (Grades 2 and 3)

June 24 @ 3:00 pm - June 26 @ 7:00 pm

  Mini-Camp is an introduction for young children to experience Christian Community in practice. It is a brief encounter with God’s creation to enjoy a mixture of activities within the context of a church camp. Children engage in two and one half days of hiking, swimming, campfires, Bible stories and games. It is just enough time to learn everyone’s name and build bonds that last for life. More Outdoor Adventures ( Grades 6 to 10 )

This program will feature MORE of what has made our Outdoor Adventure program popular! Campers will stay in tents during this week of special adventures with MORE camping, MORE outdoors and MORE adventures. The activities are specifically designed to challenge adventurous campers. Activities will vary somewhat from year-to-year based on schedules and availability. Campers register on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.  and are dismissed on Friday at 5:00 p.m. following a closing program.

Horses, Horses, Horses (Grades 6-8)

June 24 @ 3:00 pm - June 29 @ 5:00 pm

Campers will have opportunities to learn about horses and equestrian safety, and they will experience riding. Campers will stay at Camp Mardela and travel offsite for riding activities. Activities may vary based on schedules and availability. In addition to “Horse Camp” activities, there will be time for traditional camp activities.  All campers will need long pants and shoes with heels for riding.  Campers register on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and dismiss on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with a closing program.

PERFORMING ARTS CAMP (Completing Grades 5-8)

June 24 @ 3:00 pm - June 29 @ 5:00 pm

This camp is designed  for campers completing the 5th through 8th grades. Music and drama and more will be the focus of this camp. Campers will prepare a program to present it on Friday evening. Campers will also experience the traditional camp activities such as swimming and campfires. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, and will end with a closing program at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Creative Writing Camp (Grades 4 to 7)

June 24 @ 3:00 pm - June 29 @ 5:00 pm

Do you love to write?  Then this camp is for you—guaranteed to inspire you and keep you writing all summer long!  At the end of the week, you’ll join your new friends in presenting your stories and leave with a poem or short story to treasure for life.  Best of all, you’ll get to meet other writers like yourself who are excited about their stories and poems!

YOUTH CAMP (Grades 8 to 12)

Youth Camp’s Senior High School campers, who have completed grades 8 to 12, will enjoy the many well-loved activities of the traditional camping program. However, youth campers will also treasure memories that are made during activities such as service projects, talent show, theme night and off- camp trips. TEEN CAMP (Grades 5 to 7)

July 8 @ 3:00 pm - July 14 @ 10:00 am

Campfires, Bible lessons, crafts, nature hikes, recreation and swimming are just the beginning of an activity-filled week for campers who are completing the 5th to 7th grades. Campers will enjoy kayaking and archery. All camp activities are designed to meet the needs of tweens. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with those met before. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, and camp ends Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

Younger Youth Camp (Grades 3 and 4)

July 15 @ 3:00 pm - July 19 @ 7:00 pm

This camp provides an opportunity for young campers to make a transition into the full week camping program. Campers have the opportunity to take part in many of the traditional summer camp activities including swimming, crafts, Bible lessons, music, recreation, nature studies, camp fires and fishing. Me and You Camp (Children completing K-1 with Adult)

July 20 @ 5:00 pm - July 21 @ 3:00 pm

This camp serves as an introduction to the camping program at Camp Mardela. Any child completing kindergarten or first grade is invited to attend this first time camping experience with one parent or another adult family member (with a parent’s permission). Both parent and child will become familiar with the camp setting as they participate in traditional camp activities including Bible lessons, crafts, music, nature studies, games, and more.
